Pawly Virtual Pet ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Chrome Extension.
1. Information We Collect
Data Storage and Cloud Syncing: By default, the extension stores your pet's state, virtual currency balance, and settings locally on your browser. We also offer an optional Cloud Sync feature to back up and synchronize your progress across multiple devices. If enabled, your data is transmitted to our servers using End-to-End Encryption (E2EE). Because the encryption keys are generated and stored only on your devices, we cannot read, access, or decrypt your synchronized data.
Payment Information: We use LemonSqueezy as our Merchant of Record for all payments. We do not collect or store your credit card details or billing information. LemonSqueezy handles all payment processing securely. We only receive an anonymous Installation ID and the purchase status to credit your Gems.
Analytics: We collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (such as extension opens and minigames played) using privacy-friendly telemetry to improve our product. No personally identifiable information (PII) is tracked.
Third-Party Services (CDN): We use Cloudflare to host and deliver in-game assets (images, animations, and metadata). When your browser fetches these assets, your IP address may be temporarily processed by Cloudflare in accordance with their privacy policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the data solely to:
- Provide and maintain the extension's functionality.
- Credit in-app purchases securely.
- Improve the user experience through anonymous analytics.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Because your data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced using End-to-End Encryption, you retain full control over it. Uninstalling the extension will automatically delete your local data. If you use our Cloud Sync feature, you can revoke your keys or clear your synced data at any time from within the extension settings.
5. Children's Privacy
Our extension is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use the extension or provide any information to us.
